Developed in collaboration with renowned amp designer James Brown, who built amps for the immortal Guitar Hero back in the '90s, the two-channel, 40-watt guitar amp is ideal for recording studio and stage.

Dual-channel Preamp for flexible sounds

The two-channel preamp of the EVH Iconic 5150 Combo promises a particularly flexible shaping of the guitar sound. Channel 1 delivers crystal clear clean sounds, but can also be animated to juicy Overdrive with the overdrive switch. Channel 2 offers a wonderfully distorting Brown sound in the style of Eddie van Halen, which can be given additional fire with the help of the Burn switch. The Channel 2 assigned Noise Gate provides a pleasant silence during pauses and helps to accentuate staccato riffs.

Versatile sound design

For optimal adjustment of distortion and volume, Channel 1 and Channel 2 of the 5150 Iconic Combo have their own gain and volume controls. Both channels also share a common 3-band tone control for adjusting tone, while the Resonance and Presence controls affect the output of low and high frequencies in the power amp. To let solos cut through the mix with the necessary portion of extra volume, a switchable boost is also on board.

6L6 Power Amplifier, Celestion Speaker and XLR Out

With 40 watts from two 6L6 tubes, the 5150 Iconic Series Combo from EVH has sufficient volume reserves for stage and recording studio. With the ¼ power switch, the power can also be reduced to levels suitable for the living room. The EVH Custom speaker by Celestion is perfectly tuned to the voicing of the amplifier for a powerful sound with high assertiveness.
