«The Legacy bass was made in November 1989 in our Redwood City, California facility. The body has a center block of maple with alder wings and a Goncalo Alves top.
The bass also has two Bartolini pickups wound to ZON specs. The ZP-1 electronics are unique in that the controls work independently of each other for optimal tonal shaping. That said, the
volume controls are active, so as the knob is rotated there is NO tonal change as the volume level is altered. Additionally, with the switch in the middle position ( both pickups on) the volume controls for each pickup will not interact allowing you to adjust the volume for each pickup separately. The tone controls do not interact in the same way. With the switch up (neck pickup) adjust the volume and tone where you like, then do the same for the bridge pickup. Once done, put the switch in the middle position and you will have a perfect blend of the two voices you dialed in for the pickups. If you isolate the pickups using the switch, you’ll easily find the control assignment. »
