Ludwig Black Panther Super classic 4-piece 22/13/16 with Supersensitive snare and hardware 1960s-70s - Black faux Leather

Vintage Black Panther 4-piece kit. Keystone and pointy B/O badges.

13” and 16” have keystone badges. Floor tom date stamp is very faint but reads Feb 1967, consistent with badge serial number.

3-ply with reinforcement rings—mahogany/poplar/maple—shells.

The Consolette tom mount appears to have been added to the bass drum later, as its position is off from where it would normally have been installed in the factory. Bass drum also has two cymbal mounting brackets (one on each side) and a few random extra holes that have been plugged with screws.

These drums have a number of scratches and scuffs. Wrap has been cleaned and conditioned.

Fully disassembled and cleaned, but hardware is original except for 13” and 16” hoops which are new. Bearing edges have been carefully trued and repaired.

Interiors sanded and satin-lacquer sealed. Bass hoops have been repainted and inlays replaced.

Chrome has pitting and flaking and some surface rust typical of drum this age.
Muffler and snare gate protection missing.
One snare tension knob doesn’t fully loosen but more than enough to easily swap out snares.
Brand new Ludwig snare wires.

Includes vintage Spur-lock hihat stand and clutch, Speed-king pedal, vintage Atlas model snare-stand, one shell-mounted cymbal holder, and two straight cymbal stands. Vintage Ludwig drum key and Consolette key also included.

13” and 16” have new Ludwig-branded Remo UT coated batters and Remo Fiberskyn resonants. Kick has new Fiberskyn resonant and very lightly used Remo Powerstroke batter.

Cymbals not included.
