(NEW) Collings never rests on their laurels. They've once again looked to the past to take us all into the future, and the CJ-45T is their latest jumbo design. As part of the Traditional line, it is a lightly built, highly responsive guitar with a thin finish, a small maple bridge plate, Sitka spruce braces and no tongue brace. It has a newly designed bracing pattern and a distinct "C" neck shape that measures a healthy .986" thickness at the first fret. It all adds up to a more vintage-flavored experience, but with Collings meticulous fit, finish and materials selection.
The tight-grained Sitka top is simply perfect, and as we all know, nobody sprays a better burst. The mahogany back and sides have a dark stain. Specs include a 1 3/4" nut with 2 5/16" string spacing at the cut-through saddle. Short 24 7/8" scale length with a rosewood fingerboard, unique to Collings acoustics. It comes strung with medium strings and goodness, it has all the wood, warmth and thump that we're after from this shape of guitar.
