The Yairi FYM60HD combines the clarity of solid AAAA Adirondack spruce with the warmth of solid vintage Honduran mahogany in a comfortable Folk/OM body. Handcrafted in Japan, this Honduran Series acoustic offers a lively, immediate response and impressive projection for its size, finished in natural gloss to showcase its premium tonewoods.
Adirondack spruce brings definition and dynamic range, while Honduran mahogany adds focused mids and tonal warmth. The FYM60HD balances fullness with clear note separation, making it a rewarding choice for intricate fingerstyle arrangements, melodic picking and rhythmic accompaniment.
Its lightweight build and thin finish contribute to a resonant playing experience. Hand-carved FST2 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars supports balance and responsiveness, paired with Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge and extended dovetail neck joint.
A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish meets an ebony fingerboard, with a 25-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width providing a comfortable platform for detailed chord work and expressive playing. The Folk/OM proportions make the FYM60HD an inviting instrument for extended playing sessions.
Ivoroid binding, an ebony headstock plate and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons complete the understated appearance. A bone nut, TUSQ™ saddle and ebony bridge pins round out the appointments. Supplied with a brown Tolex hardshell case, the FYM60HD brings together exceptional wood selection and meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
