Rickenbacker 4001C64 2009 Jetglo
Great sounding bass with the rare inverse headstock only found on the 4001C64 basses or left hand Rickenbacker's made iconic by Paul McCartney.
95% original factory apart from the pickups, bridge and one of the pick guard screws, the previous owner replaced the stock toaster and the unergonomic horseshoe pickup for these Seymour Duncan pickups. It really enhances the look in my opinion. The bridge is an CNC machined Hipshot bridge, a vast upgrade on the original 3 screw 4001C64 bridge, which is severely prone to tail lift problems (typical 4001,4003 basses have 5 screw bridges, which also suffer from tail lift), Also included is an acrylic bridge pickup surround, but I prefer the chrome of the original.
The bass has a dent on the bottom left, front side of the head stock, some light scratching on the back of the neck around the 5th-7th fret position (these can’t be felt, they are unnoticeable while playing), a small paint chip off the bottom horn, two slightly deeper scratches on the back (all pictured), light scratches in places and some light finish checking at the heal of the neck and random places. An experienced luthier or tech can polish out the light scratches and maybe the two deeper scratches if you chose. But a rick has to be played, it all adds to the character.
The bass includes its original factory case. Shipping is available worldwide, where feasible. Please message for a personalised quote even if it says shipping unavailable
