Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet for sale. S/n 2122XX makes it 1981—a great time period in Buffet history.Excellent condition: wood is a nice, tight grain of aged grenadilla with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Tenons are nice and square with no wobble between joints. Plating is about 99% with little if any wear. Just through the shop where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, polished, new tenon corks installed, and overhauled with all new Kraus synthetic pads—one of the longest-lasting, quietest pads you can buy. This is a bright, punchy, lively clarinet compared to several of our darker R13’s, though that will be affected somewhat by your preferred mouthpiece and ligature. Comes in the original Buffet hard case with rust on the hardware but otherwise in good condition. A great clarinet from a great period and perfect your first professional horn or as a backup to your main instrument, and more than $2,000 less than new!
