Vintage Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet--Serviced, Kraus Synthetic Pads!

The earliest of several Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinets we are offering for sale right now.  This is a vintage 1960 horn in excellent condition:wood is a 60-year-old billet of grenadilla with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just disassembled, cleaned, and oiled.Tenons are nice and square with no wobble between joints.  Keys are nickel silver in good condition, just hand polished, never to be as shiny as silver or nickel plate, but they’ll also never wear, either.   Repadded with new Kraus synthetic pads—one of the longest-lasting, quietest pads you can get. Plays with a big, full, open sound and soft feel to the key work.  Includes a vintage Buffet 1-up, 3-down hard rubber mouthpiece on a Chedeville blank in a C facing, a vintage Buffet cap and ligature with the floating reed plate—both a bit worn but functional, a new Leblanc bore oiling swab, reed holder with four reeds, and a bore swab.  Key oil is for local pickup only and will not be shipped.  Cork grease is almost empty, but will be included as it’s the vintage container designed for the period vintage pochette case, which is also in good condition.  A great example of an early 60’s horn in about the best condition you could imagine—ready to play, and more than $2,400 less than new!
