About This Listing

Up for sale we have a 1988 Rickenbacker 370/12RM Limited Edition Roger McGuinn Signature model Electric 12-String in excellent used condition and perfect working order. All parts original to the guitar to the best of our knowledge. Limited run of 1000 made. The guitar shows very little cosmetic wear with only a few match head sized dings on the body, a small crack in the interior binding of the "cats eye" soundhole and some light flatpick scratches on the pickguard. Aside from that the guitar is fantastic shape and has been played sparingly and well cared for over the years. This 370/12RM features a 24 3/4" scale length, semi-holly Maple body in it's original Mapleglo finish, checkered binding on the back, set neck, a fantastic sounding trio of Rickenbacker "Toaster" single coil pickups each with dedicated volume control and a master tone control as well as as a fifth blend knob, active onboard tone/compressor circuit with 6-position rotary switch (in place of the usual second tone control knob and powered with 9V battery), 3-way pickup selector switch, mono and stereo outs, two-tier white pickguard with Roger Mcguinn signature, "R" tailpiece and an adjustable bridge with 6 saddles. The medium sized 5-piece Maple/Walut neck features 22-fret Bubinga fretboard with white binding and crushed pearl "shark fin" inlaid fret markers. It has a D-shape profile measuring .85" deep at the first fret and .91" deep at the twelfth fret. Schaller Tuning machines. Width at the nut measures 1 5/8". The original medium sized frets are present and show minimal play wear, tons of life left. The neck is straight and plays great up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or buzzing. The truss rod is accessible at the headstock, it turns smoothly and functions as it should. The guitar weighs in at 8 lbs. even. The guitar will be properly packed with care before shipment. In-store trades only. Thank you for looking.

In 1988, Rickenbacker produced a limited edition of 1000 370-12s based on the guitar of Byrds member Rodger McGuinn.
