About this listing
Quick notes:1 — This is consigned. 2 — Any repair work has been done so it plays spot-on unless otherwise noted! 3 — I usually ship in 2-3 days but sometimes can get backed-up if a lot of orders come in at once. I like to make sure I have time to check the setup, restring if the strings are tired, and make any adjustments needed before shipping. If you need faster shipping, please make me aware!4 — Please read the following text for full details and specs -- it's borrowed from my original blog post on it...Update 2026: I'd had this listed a while back but the owner took it home. He's since bought some way-upscale Rickis and is needing to get a few back on-market. This is one of them and it's a champ! It came back for resale exactly as it left last time, so I've just relisted with the same notes.Description: This beaut is a Roger McGuinn Model version of the 370/12 and it's in the rarer Jetglo finish which will look snazzy on any stage. It has a little wear and tear in the finish but is overall in good shape and it plays spot-on, quick, and is ready to serve. I've known this guitar for a few years and every time I see it, it's still playing just like I saw it last, so we know it's nice and stable, too.If you're a Byrds fan or a jingle-jangle Americana fan, this sort of box is just about the penultimate expression of that style and so of course it fits right into it. It has the look, it has the feel, and it has the sound. I've always been a fan of the Ricki 12 necks for chordal use -- they're quick and easy to get around on and yet you don't feel cramped. The "backwards stringing" on the lower-octave strings means you can lean into power chords and whatnot and still have a girthy sound if you want, too.Repairs included: a fret level/dress (thanks, Ancel!), quick adjustments, and I previously made a new bone nut (with better spacing, though the original is in case pocket), and setup work.Weight: 8 lbs 7 ozScale length: 24 5/8"Nut width: 1 5/8"Neck shape: medium CBoard radius: 10"Body width: 15 1/8"Body depth: 1 1/2"Body wood: mapleBridge: individual 12-saddle Ricki-style (yes!)Fretboard: rosewoodNeck wood: maplePickups: 3x Rickenbacker "toaster" single-coilsAction height at 12th fret: 1/16” overall (fast, spot-on)String gauges: 46w-9 or close to it, unwound lower GTruss rod: adjustable, two of themNeck relief: straightFret style: low/smallerCondition notes: aside from a few nicks and dings here and there in the body and one at the headstock, the only other wear is light handling/scratching here and there throughout and the usual weather-checking to the finish. It's in rather good form, to be honest. The original onboard compressor unit was removed and so the wiring in this functions passive and "as-normal" for a Ricki. I believe someone bypassed the "strangle" cap for the bridge pickup, too, as it sounds healthy and full vs. emaciated. It comes with: an original hard case and Jangle Box compressor pedal. Yip! That lets you get the compressor/straight-into-board sound that you're looking for. The bridge cover and original (black plastic) nut are also included.Consignor tag: KH
