The Classic Spector Euro 5

Sporting the pro features that have made Spector basses coveted by top bassists worldwide for over four decades, the Spector Euro 5 Classic electric bass gives you a comfortable, contoured body carved from solid maple for bright, deep, punchy, and authoritative tone. The Euro 5 Classic’s fast 3-piece maple neck runs the entire length of the instrument and is topped by a silky smooth 24-fret rosewood fingerboard graced with signature Spector mother-of-pearl crown inlays. Spec’d with a zinc/brass locking bridge and brass nut, premium EMG P/J pickups, EMG’s acclaimed BTS preamp system, and elegant gold hardware; the Euro 5 Classic is a high-performance instrument that delivers the tone, playability, versatility, and wicked good looks today’s bass players demand.

Powerful EMG P/J pickups

The Euro 5 Classic holds down the low end in style. That’s largely thanks to a pair of powerful EMG pickups, fitted in tone-enhancing reverse-P/J configuration. This arrangement gives you the low-end punch from the split-coil EMG P pickup in the middle position, along with the aggressive growl from the J-style single-coil at the bridge. The reverse split-coil configuration maximizes low-end articulation, while rounding out notes played on the high strings. This makes total sense in a P/J-equipped bass, as you can dial in as much high end as you want with the bridge pickup and the active 2-band EQ. Mix up your signature blend, and you’re ready to rock.

A tradition of quality and innovation

Drawing upon decades of industry-leading design, Spector’s Euro Series basses are handcrafted using the finest tonewoods and components. A production version of the renowned Spector NS bass, the Euro 5 Classic rocks high-end features such as powerful EMG pickups and premium active electronics. Available in a variety of vintage-inspired finishes, the Euro 5 Classic continues the tradition of quality and innovation started by Stuart Spector in 1976.
