Fender’s American Original ‘60s Jazz Bass offers the features and sound of the original version. The narrower neck, two single-coil pickups and the offset body offer the tone and style of the Jazz Bass’ earliest incarnation, with modern playability.
A pair of Pure Vintage ’64 Jazz Bass single-coil pickups are as period-correct as possible, with enamel-coated coil wire, cloth-covered output wires, fiber bobbins and alnico 5 magnets. The slim “C-shaped” neck profile and 9.5”-radius round-laminated rosewood fingerboard offer a fast comfortable playing experience.
This American Original Jazz Bass is preloved. It does show some significant signs of being played, including some scratches, dings, dents, and chips. This isn't a closet classic in any way, but it also hasn't been abused. A players instrument and you can tell—some people pay extra for their bass to look and feel like this one! A HipShot Drop-Tune has been added—original tuner is not included. Everything else seems to be original to the instrument. A tweed Fender case is included.
