1990's Ovation Adamas. This was an experimental prototype guitar with an all-graphite neck and graphite/carbon fiber top. The neck was made by Status Guitars in the UK [Kaman Music was the distributor of Status and Trace Elliot] and the guitar was assembled by Willy Vassilopoulos in the Engineering Department in Ovation in the CT factory. This experimental instrument pre-dates the Adamas Q by many years- a similar concept of a graphite neck paired with the carbon fiber top of which only 11 prototypes (with only a handful of fully assembled pieces) were made and the model never went into production. Please do not confuse this with the less expensive Q-model that was released with a wood neck.
The guitar is in excellent shape, schaller tuners with ebony buttons. Ovation OP-X system to capture that electric acoustic tone. Deep bowl that is comfortable sitting or standing to play. Amazing neck and of course it has that classic booming Adamas tone. This is one of the loudest and clearest/crisp sounding Ovations I've heard. Comes with orig Ovation HSC.
