Freshly baked at the Ovation USA Custom Shop in Connecticut, the MD80 is an understated sleek and sexy machine. The natural woven carbon fiber top has a single soundhole in the upper bout, with a beautifully handcrafted three dimensional cats-eye ebony and aluminum ring. The American black walnut neck is topped with an ebony fretboard and rectangular side markers and has a smooth satin feel on the back for easy movement. Sperzel Solid Pro satin chrome tuners, Adamas X-bracing, OP-Pro Studio preamp, and Ovation's patented high output pickup round out this stellar instrument. The thing that really sets this guitar apart from the rest is it's MID Contour bowl. Arguably the most comfortable Ovation bowl ever produced, the contours keep it from sliding off your lap or rolling against your body... and it's only available on the MD80.
