Vintage 1970s Sound City 120R  Mark 4 Amp

Classic amp head

Power Valves: 6x EL34 (AEG)  

Voltage Selector: Hardwired to 240v

The Head has just been serviced a couple of years ago to a playable & safe standard, by an experienced amp repair technician. 

Condition 

Overall ‘good’ condition, with obvious wear and tear for it's age.

These amps are traditionally quite noisy (from new) but the amp has been altered to reduce the noise floor.

Originality 

Externally original, including transformers, except for minor service component changes i.e. caps, resistors, etc. & removal of reverb tank/circuit & wiring tidied up.

*Restored to L120/B120 spec.

*Reverb tank removed as sound/hum was poor

*Cathode bypass caps fitted to active eq to reduce hum

*O/P Bias set up -440
