This S.S. Stewart Universal Favorite #1 is in very good condition. The tuners have been replaced as well as three of the hex nuts. This banjo has a light, mellow tone. The banjo appears to be from the 1890s.It is incredible to see an instrument that is 100+ years old that still plays well. This banjo is great for old-time, folk, or any traditional music.
