Stock buttons and screws provided were nightmare fuel for me. So, I decided to do something about it. I went ab out and designed my own, the perfect strap button! It's been called "beautiful," "bulletproof," "elegant" and "Game-Changing."

Note, for additional security, I supply a longer screw two sizes bigger and a fair bit longer than typical, so your guitar should be able to accommodate 1 1/8 in, or 28mm depth. You may wish to use a 1/16th inch drill bit for a pilot hole, however, most do not find it necessary. I detail the screw provided against a typical stock mushroom button and my screw in a photo.

The shaft of the button is slightly deeper to accommodate even thick and proper strap leathers. The smoothly rounded bell edge facilitates easier strap installation without shredding the inside of your strap hole. I designed this button carefully: the screw cannot wibble-wobble inside the button shaft. Extremely tight tolerance. This is absolutely key to minimize the typical strap button screw-loosening effect, which we all hate so much, amirite?

Well-Hung Pro-Pins oversize jumbo strap buttons are the most logically simple solution to guitar security, providing a clean, traditional, more elegant appearance to your rig. If you choose to upgrade 1 thing on your instrument, consider Pro-Pins to make you smile you every time you slip your strap on for the life of the instrument, likely extending that too. "Strap doubt" is a terrible mental affliction many guitarists suffer. I developed Pro-Pins to be the cure, not a vaccine like other noisy, clunky, complicated guitar gadgetry!

Pro-Pins are not for all guitar applications. However, if you've suffered "Toothpick & Gluthiery" these are a way better, simple lasting solution to constant fixery-fuggery and noisy, clunky, strap end gimmicky-gadgets. I highly recommend you do this before you are forced to resort to toothpicks and glue, so you won't ever have to. Plus, you can still use your precious rubber beer washers, even with heavy quality leather-ended straps such the Well-Hung brand because there is plenty of button shaft to work with. With Pro-Pins, your beer washers won't suddenly pop off, or slowly jack your button screw loose because of too much back-pressure.

Well-Hung Pro-Pins are milled from solid aluminum, with a durable finish. Each comes with a GOOD Phillips screw and a genuine animal fur felt washer (not plastic poly junk that dissolves your guitar finish), or you can request leather washers. These are NOT for acoustic guitars, unless you are going into the heel or you know you have at least 1" of wood. Be wary of them going into iffy places like the end of an SG horns, or a neck - Don't be a doofus! Pro-Pins screws are a bit longer and a size or two up of most stock screws, just over an inch of thread length after the washer, and you cannot ever NEVER ever use a stock button screw with these because the buttons are a bit longer.

V.3 Changes: Changes from previous design is the inset for the screw is 1mm less deep, so the rounded top of the screw now sticks out about 1mm, no longer flush inside like V.2 did. Overall button depth is now about 2mm less. I made these changes to further strengthen the bell, and also offer a slightly lower profile overall. Bell diameter remains exactly the same, but there's now slightly less spool, again, still absolutely accepting your beer washer in addition to a strap, if you are super OCD security conscious. The vast majority of Pro-Pins users do not feel the need for any extra security measures alongside Pro-Pins. They install once, then worry no more! There is a video attached to this that has some great install tips, but I do suggest you always use the screws I provide, IF YOU HAVE THE WOOD DEPTH necessary. Lube threads with soap or chapstick, etc. before install.

No instructions included, but you will require a phillips screwdriver and some common sense, and please do not install while buzzed.   Will also gladly combine shipping with any strap purchase for North America delivery. I will also ONLY send these outside North America in combination with a strap purchase. It just don't make sense for a $70 mailing package for twenty bucks worth of goods.
