Handcrafted to combine the warmth of an upright bass with the punch of a solid body. A high-end bass that looks as gorgeous as it sounds - with a flame maple top, swamp ash body and birds-eye maple neck. It’s feather light (7 lbs.) with an organic sound and feel.

Rob considers the MB-2 his most versatile model, due to the punch of the long scale. This 35” scale semi-hollow body yields a warm, woody tone with a strong fundamental due to the hollow wings and solid center block.

Rob hand-selects all his tone woods and uses minimal finish for optimum resonance. This bass comes with cocobolo fingerboard & bridge, and high-quality electronics that feature a discreet signal path for pure unadulterated bass tone in combination with a piezo pickup.

It’s strung with La Bella 760N tapewounds. It's warm enough to play jazz and punchy enough to play rock or blues. The neck is fast, the fingerboard smooth and the piezo pickup can thunder when called upon. It plays like butter. This is a true American masterpiece with a killer sound on stage or recording.
