Take a nice nostalgic ride back to college. Grab your lemonade and mix yourself a vodka sugarbomb. As promo guitars go, this thing has major potential to be much more than just a wall-hanger. It's got a GREAT neck on it, with a big C shaped profile that measures .88" at the 1st fret and .95" at the 12th. 1.65" nut width and a Fender standard 25.5" scale.
This thing is completely stock with a nice tremolo bridge and (presumably original) tremolo arm.
Cosmetically, it is in excellent shape. There's some surface scratches, nicks, and dings present. There's one small chip in the finish near the input jack and some superficial finish cracking near the neck joint.
If you want this thing to be a real player, it needs a few small tweaks. First, the tuners work but they're pretty cheap. A couple of them have some play and the G-string tuner gears are pretty tight. The pickup works well, but it doesn't have much bite. A new pot and humbucker and you'd be in business.
We cleaned and restrung this with some fresh 9s, but it needs a pro setup. The fret edges are pretty smooth and it plays decently in its current state, but a good setup will have it firing on all cylinders.
