The Sales Pitch:

This one is a mystery. I picked it up a while back from a MusicGoRound. Such a cool looking telecaster and it doesn’t play half bad either! Obviously the star of the show is the double bound silverburst sparkle body. Very large glitter flakes in that bad boy and changes from fairly dark to fairly light gray in the light. And SPARKLE-Y.

It’s vibey. It teles. It’s one of a kind. If you’re just looking for a weird, cool looking tele to add to your collection, this one might be worth checking out!

Condition Notes:

I would rate condition conservatively as GOOD. It’s a partscaster made of high quality parts. It’s been played and modified.

  • There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs. This is a fully functional instrument.
  • The neck is from a USA production guitar. It’s full gloss and dates to 2008. There appears to be a knot or possible filled hole just under the B tuner. The previous owner took artistic liberties on where to place the string trees (see photos).
  • The truss rod is fully functional.
  • The nut has been replaced with a TUSQ XL.
  • The tuners are high quality vintage style tuners. Probably Fender or Gotohs. I’m guessing they are replacements and there may be holes underneath for regular USA tuners, but I did not remove them to look.
  • The guitar appears to have been refretted with medium jumbo or jumbo frets (I’m not an expert, but they seem relatively beefy). They may also be stainless steel. I can’t say for sure..if you know of a way for me to tell, let me know. The guitar plays fine up and down the fretboard, however there are a few spots where the tangs got bent putting them in (see photos).
  • The finish seems professionally done, but it’s not perfect. It’s glossy with large sparkles in the paint. I don’t know what was used.
  • The binding is MOTO, as is the pickguard.
  • The body appears to be a MIM ash body, but it has the microtilt adjustment, so I’m not entirely sure about that.
  • Based on the markings, the pickups appear to be American Standard telecaster pickups.
  • The bridge plate and hardware all appears to be genuine fender, as well as the backplate.
  • The tone pot is CTS. The rest seem stock Fender (see photo).
  • The body itself has some light wear, small scratches, scuffs, handling marks. There is a small finish check line at the heel (common).
  • The gig bag is brand new from Stratosphere. It's the typical high quality Fender bag that comes with their lower end American, MIM, and Japan instruments.

---------------

I am happy to provide additional information / photographs upon request. I am not interested in trades. I try to price my gear fairly based on hours I spend "researching the market". Please keep offers realistic.

All of my gear is sold as-is, but I won't leave you hanging if it arrives other than as-described / photographed. I will work to get your guitar safely packed and shipped out quickly (usually the same day or the next day). I take quick shipping and safe packing very seriously.

Much of my gear gets crossposted on my local FB marketplace. If you found me here, I cannot do a deal outside of Reverb, per their terms. Please don’t send me a message here asking.
