Novation is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the popular Launchpad series and is pleased to present the latest generation of the classic 64-pad controller for Ableton Live – the Launchpad X. The MIDI grid controller is now even slimmer and offers a wealth of new features, including velocity and pressure sensitivity, note and scale modes, as well as Capture MIDI, USB-C connectivity and more! It offers an affordable solution for recording expressive beats, melodies and ideas in Ableton Live without the need for a mouse. It’s a simple controller for performers and producers who want to trigger clips and scenes easily and reliably, whilst benefiting from key control and adjustment options during live performances.

The Launchpad X offers more direct control than ever before. The 64 velocity-and pressure-sensitive RGB pads form Novation’s most expressive grid to date, whilst the Drum and Note modes allow automatic switching between percussive and melodic instruments. The dedicated Record button makes it effortless to capture the sound.
Furthermore, four custom modes (in combination with the free ‘Components’ app) are available, allowing you to configure MIDI data. In short, the device becomes a versatile controller hub for the entire studio.

The Launchpad X’s new Scale mode filters out all notes that do not belong to the key specified by the user. If nothing is currently being recorded, pressing the Capture MIDI button allows you to record any note recently played in Ableton Live retrospectively. This way, you can stay focused on your performance whilst temporarily forgetting about the computer.

Includes Ableton Live Lite, AAS Session Bundle, XLN Addictive Keys, Soft Time & Tone Bundle,
, Klevgrand R0Verb and DAW Cassette; exclusively for Novation Consumer.

The Novation Launchpad X is now not only optimised for Ableton Live, but also fully compatible with Cubase 14 and Logic Pro X. Thanks to its enhanced MIDI support and dynamic modes, the Launchpad X can be seamlessly integrated into the workflows of these DAWs. In Cubase, it enables intuitive control of instrument tracks, effects and mix parameters, whilst in Logic it really comes into its own during live performance and when triggering clips.
