With the Sandberg Forty Eight 4 PF Creme Hardcore Aged w/ Matching Headstock Sandberg sends a rock'n'roll-ready four-string Bass into the race, which combines the popular Modern-Vintage design with the unmistakable Hardcore Ageing of the Brunswick cult bass builders. The lovingly crafted aged finish with matching lacquered headstock conveys the look and feel of an instrument that has been played in for decades, while the classic combination of alder body and bolt-on maple neck creates the foundation for crisp bass tones. Powerful Sandberg pickups with active 2-band equalizer also provide a wide range of premium rock tones that rival the stunning looks of the E-Bass. For the construction of the Forty Eight E-Bass Sandberg uses classic woods and the bolt-on construction with 34" scale length (864 mm). The strikingly designed body is made of alder, while the six-way bolt-on neck is made of maple and carries a 22-fret Pau Ferro fretboard. The flat "C" neck profile also promises buttery smooth playing characteristics.

Under the impressive metal caps in aged-nickel-look the Forty Eight Bass hides two powerful Sandberg pickups, which come up with variable power sounds for rock and metal at the amplifier. The Sandberg Powerhumbucker, placed close to the bridge, delivers with its series-connected coils a brute Output with a focused midrange spectrum that asserts itself in the band sound with ease. The Sandberg Split-Coil in middle position convinces with its rough low-mid growl and the necessary thrust for driving rock grooves. To adjust the bass sound, there is also an active 2-band tone control.

The Sandberg Forty Eight 4 PF Creme Hardcore Aged is completed by in-house Sandberg hardware with uncompromising functionality and a chic aged-nickel look. The solid-built Sandberg Bridge 4 features three-dimensionally adjustable tailpieces that not only guarantee exact intonation, but also allow string action and string spacing to be adjusted to personal preferences. On the headstock, which is lacquered to match the body, furthermore lightweight Sandberg Machine Heads ensure a long-lasting precise tuning of the rocking 4-string bass.
