The trashy sound and the very short sustain give this cymbal a sound that lives up to the name.The raw surface with only a small lathed part on the surface as well as the large hammer marks give the Extra Dry Dual series a very dark, earthy tone. These cymbals sound best at moderate volumes.

Byzance Extra Dry

The Extra Dry cymbals from the Byzance series have a very low, earthy and trashy sound. They are extremely dry and produce a very short sustain. The look might suggest very loud and sharp cymbals but they sound best at moderate volumes.

Byzance Dual Crash

The Dual Crashes and Crash Rides from the Byzance Extra Dry series feature a raw unlathed surface in the middle and a lathed and lacquered edge. A very cool hybrid finish. Different sized hammer marks result in a very complex sound with a short sustain. The different surfaces of the Dual Crashes and Crash Rides can be used as different playing zones for ride patterns and crash sound. These cymbals are great for moderate styles like Jazz, Funk or R'n'B.
