2009 "American Dream 7-String" built by renowned luthier Dale Unger of American Archtop Guitars. This guitar has been well maintained, and aside from a small scratch on the top, is in excellent condition.
The guitar features a 17" body with laminated Birdseye Maple top, back, and sides. The scale length is 25" and the ebony fretboard sports 22 medium/jumbo frets. The neck is 3 piece maple and has some really lovely flame to it. The nut, bridge, tailpiece, and pickguard are all ebony, and the pickup appears to be a Kent Armstrong.
The guitar plays great, and has plenty of room for the bridge to come up, or down. Currently set up with flatwound strings.
Dale Unger and American Archtop are well known for building serious guitars, but at price point that is much more approachable than most builders. This American Dream is a cosmetically austere with minimal appointments, and is signed by Mr. Unger. A fantastic opportunity to test the 7-string world with a professional level, US made instrument-without a hefty price tag.
