One of a kind, custom built in 1999 by Fender for the rockabilly movie, Don't Let Go. The guitar has never been gigged. It's been kept in a climate controlled living room for 24 years which is why it's in such excellent condition. The wood has aged beautifully and she sings. There are a couple of nicks from being used in the movie - see attached photos - but that's it. Included in the sale is a Letter of Provenance signed by the director, and t-shirt from the movie signed by Academy Award nominated Katharine Ross (Butch Cassidy, The Graduate),  Scott Wilson (In Cold Blood, The Walking Dead), Bo Hopkins (The Wild Bunch), Tony Winner Levi Kreis and Irma P. Hall (Lady Killers, Collateral.) Don't Let Go went on to win numerous awards and an exclusive download is included for the new owner.

More Info:

This is the Rockabilly X160 - NOT the Savoy X160. Both are made by Fender/Guild, but they're completely different guitars. This is an arch-top with all maple body, 3 & 1/2" deep. Finished in high gloss urethane, it has a bound maple neck with the Guild logo. The fretboard of the X160 is solid rosewood with pearloid "block" inlays, and is rounded off with a Bigsby tailpiece and aluminum tremolo bridge. Pickups are two DeArmond 2000s - the X-160s were the first production instruments to have the original DeArmond Model 2000 pickup in over twenty years.

Please note: Buyer pays all shipping costs, and I'll ship worldwide.

The Guild X160 Rockabilly was built at Guild's Westerly, Rhode Island facilities, Unlike any other Guild Jazz guitar, the Rockabilly was available in ONLY four distinctive color options, including: Black; Tennessee Orange; Metallic Blue and Fiesta Red. When new the recommended retail price was $2,500.

This Guild was custom built for the movie and in 1999 was valued at $3000.
