1981 Roland G-303 Polyphonic Synthesizer GR Vintage Electric Guitar. This guitar features outstanding craftsmanship from a Roland's best era. It is 100% original with zero modifications. Not only is it a legendary synth guitar, but it is also an amazing regular electric guitar when played through normal amps. The pickups sound great and the guitar has excellent playability. The guitar weighs 9.37 pounds and has a standard 1-11/16" nut width. The neck thickness measures 0.835" at the 1st fret and 0.957" at the 12th fret. Includes the clear plastic controls guide.

Overall in excellent condition for its age. The guitar was really well cared for. The finish is still glossy and clean. There are some lights scuffs and dings throughout. All hardware is very clean. There's some faint worming marks on the back. The neck is very clean and smooth with only a couple noticeable marks. The neck is perfectly straight and the truss rod works. The rosewood fingerboard is in excellent condition. The frets have minimal wear, with only some faint fretwear visible on the first couple frets. All frets have been polished to a bright shine. The headstock is very clean with no issues. The original tuners work perfectly. All electronics are original and work perfectly.

Includes a period-correct non-original hardshell case that fits the guitar perfectly. There are stickers on the outside of the case. One of the latches is broken, but the other 4 latches hold the case closed well. The handle works. The interior of the case typical wear. Does not include any other accessories.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

The Roland G-303, made from 1980-1984, was Roland's most popular synth controller guitar.  Some of this popularity came from the G-303's association with Pat Metheny, who played one in combination with the Roland GR-300 synthesizer. But the G-303 was also a high quality playable guitar in its own right, and although not the most technologically advanced synth controller its synth controls were intuitive and usable. The G-303s were made by the Japanese Fujigen Gakki company, an important OEM builder for brands like Greco, Ibanez, Fender, Squier and Yamaha.
