Ludwig 10 piece Mach Lug 1976 Blue Satin Drum Set

This Ludwig 10-piece Mach Lug 1976 Blue Satin Drum Set is a spaceship time machine. This was a one-owner kit that is extremely rare. Some background: In the early 70s Ludwig added what they called the “Mach” lug to their line of top-end drums. The shells are identical to the Super Classic shells, but the lug is different and resembles what is associated these days with high-tension marching drums. There were two set-ups: The Mach 4 and Mach 5. The Mach 4 was 13/16/22 with an alloy shell Supra with a rail consolette tom holder and cymbal L arm bracket on the bass drum. The Mach 5 was 12/13/16/22 with an alloy shell Supra and the standard double tom holder mounted on the bass drum. This set is rarer than those put together. It's a custom order straight from Bill Ludwig himself. The story goes that the owner was sitting in Bill Ludwig's office and he said "You'll never believe who was sitting in that chair yesterday, Karen Carpenter!". She was having her set made in these sizes with matching bongos... Bill then offers to have the same set made for this owner... and the rest is what you'll find here. This set includes 6/8 (bongos) 12/13/14/15 (toms) 16/18 (floor toms) with a 22x14 Bass drum and 14x5.5 Super Sensitive snare. AND all of the hardware that came with it including the Speed King Pedal is included and shipped in their Fibre cases. There are 6 straight stands and the hi-hat stand and the bongo stand as well as the tom stands. An incredible set and a rare find.
NOTE: Here are the issues I found with the set. I want to be as open and transparent as possible. You can see the snare drum rash is pretty bad on the 13" drum in the photo. The rest of the drums are in great condition. The bongos have separation in the reinforcement rings as shown in the photo. Also, the heads for the 12, 15, and 16 drums fit super-snug. I tried a Remo Classic Fit head on the 16" and it fit great! I measured all drums and they are all in round.
ALSO NOTE: This is a huge kit and will be very expensive to ship as you can imagine with hardware, drums, cases, packaging, etc.. so I'd much rather sell it within 100 miles of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
