Vintage 1950s Kay K22 Jumbo Flat Pink Acoustic Guitar *Ex. Ronnie Lane Studios*
I am excited to offer the following from the incredible Ronnie Lane Mobile Studio collection. The LMS has a history spanning from 1972 and is the most successful mobile studio in the world and (after Abbey Road) the most successful studio of any kind, still in existence anywhere outside of the US. The studio has recorded the most successful artists of all time, at the most significant stages of their careers and is responsible for more than 750 million records sold. Now is the time to let some of the collection back into the wild, and I have the privilege of doing just that!
A really nice recent acquisition. When I got this from the Ronnie Lane collection, it was in need of a neck reset and a good restoration. I've now put it through that and it plays and sounds truly awesome. It was painted pink really well at some point in its past, and it really does add character to this guitar. I've not seen another like it. The neck was in need of a reset so this has been done without taking away the colour from the socket. The flat-top has a slight bow in it, hence the need of a reset, but the reset has sorted the action out from the bridge as you can see. It genuinely plays really well now. It's not the most perfect guitar, certainly played very well over the years, but it's still a nice example of a 1950s Kay K22 Jumbo. Please see the pictures for more information as they form part of my description.
