Bass Mods K534 2016 Aqua Burst

Received this bass in June of 2016, purchased new from Bass Mods.  Bass Mods company is in California (I think they started just making onboard preamp systems), however the back side of the head stalk states that the bass is made in Korea.  Best I can figure is that the bodies of these basses are made in Korea and they are stained, or painted, finished and set up with the buyers choice of pickups/preamp ect. in Cali.  This bass' entry price was $1150.00.  Body is swamp ash, neck is maple.  Fretboard is birds eye maple with pearl block inlays. The only thing I chose as an additional cost option were the Nordstrand pickups, so the final cost came in at almost $1300.00.  Hipshot tuning machines came standard and I believe a Hipshot bridge as well (very high mass and quality).  I chose a Bass Mods brand preamp, it is an 18v active/passive 3 band.  Small (1/8" round) scuff in clearcoat right below the bottom most tone pot, and one (not even worth picturing) underneath the E string. Hadn't noticed them until I was wiping it down for pictures.  Pick guard was custom made, original will be sent with bass along with the original chrome control plate.  Did not buy a case with the bass but I will ship it in a Road Runner case (nothing special but it will help to keep it safe).
