Collings D2HT Traditional Dreadnought, Baked Sitka Top, East Indian Rosewood

(NEW) The Traditional line from Collings combine their state-of-the-art building techniques with some well-chosen specs and materials aimed at producing a guitar with a more vintage-inspired sound.  Bill Collings and his team collaborated with many pro players and studied some of the finest vintage examples that they could get their hands on... and while the voicing of the T Series is still very much in the Collings tradition, they seem to sound a little warmer, a little louder and a little more bass-forward than the standard line.

While the Madrose guitars have been fantastic, we have been FLOORED by the quality of tone on every Indian rosewood Traditional that we've had the opportunity to play.  The output on these guitars is incredible, enough to knock you off of your stool!  This one has a baked Sitka top, which adds to the Traditional voicing by giving it a more played in sound, right out of the box.

The Traditional neck carve is a full-shouldered soft "V" very similar to Collings' Vintage Now profile.  It has 1 3/4" nut and 2 5/16" string spacing at the cut-through saddle.  Fish-glue construction, long-pattern diamond and square fingerboard inlays, rolled fingerboard edges for a comfortable vintage feel, new T Series herringbone top purfling, ivoroid body binding and bone bridge pins.
