About This Listing

Don't underestimate the little guy.

For sale here is a classic American guitar: a Harmony H162 MINI.  This one was made in the late 1950s or early 1960s.  This one is half scale rather than three quarter scale, and as I understand it, the smaller ones are much rarer than the standard parlors. I have only seen one other one and it was no where near the level of quality that this one is.

Despite it's size, this is one of the most well built Harmony guitars I have ever held....and I have held a lot. The binding and pickguard are tortoise shell celluloid. The thing is pristine, looks like it has been case kept for decades. The action is pretty low for a guitar of this age -- this thing is super comfortable and fun to play. Perfect for the serious musician who wants a unique traveler.

As always I oiled the board, changed the strings, polished the finish and tweaked the set up. As with all of my pre-1980 acoustic guitars without adjustable truss rods, this guitar is being sold "as is" regardless of condition. (See my shop policies for more information.) This guitar comes with the original adorable af mini case, and I pack my guitars up tight and insure every package with full insurance.

A must have for any dimestore guitar collector!
