About This Listing

Olivia's Vintage would like to present this rare 1968 Ampeg SSUB-1 short-scale fretless bass. It has been restored by Bruce Johnson. There is a label on the underside of the pickguard listing the work that was done. It has a good playing neck. There is some cosmetic wear and a couple of very small hairline pressure cracks from the screws of the tuning keys, but they are cosmetic issues only as this bass is now structurally sound. It does not have the decorative cover plate on back or the bridge cover. The head for the center mounting screw for the tailpiece has broken, but the tailpiece is very secure with the two remaining screws. All electronics work and sound great and a ground wire has been added from the can to the tailpiece. A gig bag is included.
We are happy to ship internationally.
