About This Listing

Butler Music was lucky enough to purchase an entire collection of 93 Electra guitars, plus several pedals, modules, catalogs and other great Electra items from the Estate of a long time collector. We will be setting up each guitar, restringing, testing and cleaning up each one before we list them for sale, and we will be matching them with correct cases and adding modules to most of them. The information, photos and weight on the guitar you see advertised here is the exact guitar you will get and we have all of these in stock and on display in our store in Harrisonville, MO. If you would like to test play any of them. We have everything from the very rare and expensive models, down to the Electra economy series, so there should be something for everyone in this collection.

Here is the great item we are selling on this listing:

Very cool 70s Electra MPC single cut electric, model X340.

1970’s Model X340 Natural Satin Jacaranda single cutaway fitted beautifully in the Les Paul body style. These Japanese-made guitars were state of the art in their time, featuring two Super Magnaflux Humbuckers . The rosewood fretboard is lined with abalone inlays. In excellent condition; no cosmetic flaws and plays beautifully.  There are no modules included with this one, but we have 11 different modules in stock and can negotiate to add one or more to this guitar. The reason we don’t have any modules in it is that we haven’t tested any of the stack of modules from this collection yet and we want to send it out working 100%. It looks and plays great. The Original Frets are still in very good shape. The original brass nut is still with it and gives the guitar a really cool biting sound with lots of attack. Very few of these models are ever offered for sale.  The tuners on this have been replaced with Grovers and there are a few chips in the wood on the back of the headstock which you can see in the photos.

This one comes in an aftermarket hardshell case.  It weighs in at 8.4 pounds.

Electra guitars were imported from Japan by Saint Louis Music (SLM)  of Saint Louis, Missouri from 1971 to 1984 (most MPC models were made by Matsumoku of  Matsumoku, Japan) .  Matsumoku has made many popular guitar brands over the years including; Aria, Westbury, Westone, Epiphone, Vantage & Vox to name but a few.
