Rare Stereo Model... yup.
This is a way cool JSB- 2 (Jet Star II) with Guild Humbucker pickups. It’s a short scale, 30.5 inches, built in Westerly, Rhode Island in around 1977. Very little fretwear, the neck is straight, truss rod turns easily both ways. The hardware is in excellent condition, including tuning machines, bridge and pickups. Virtually no tarnish anywhere.
Mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard. Volume and tone knob for each pickup, dot inlays, mini-switch that seems to be a bass boost, 3 way pickup selector switch and stereo/mono switch. The wiring arrangement is original. The S/M face plate is original but the switch has been replaced. Some minor nicks and dings... but not bad for a forty year old bass.
Case is original but has wear and tear but still functional.
Only other non-original part is the truss rod cover, which is a Guild replica.It has new D’Addario EXL 160s short scale strings.
