Is your amp too loud? This device sits in the FX loop of your
amplifier and allows you to turn down your preamp volume, before it
goes into the power amp section, without negatively impacting your tone
in the way that most speaker attenuators do. This allows you to turn up
your preamp gain, while keeping the power output at a reasonable level.
For
example: I personally use one of these to bring my 350watt Crate
Tidalwave, plugged into a 412 cab, down to bedroom level volume. The
device also works with other unbalanced devices, such as keyboards and
fx units. No batteries required.
*Not for use between your speaker output and speaker*
*Note*
Pedal building is a hobby for me. All of my items are handmade unless
otherwise stated. As a result, they may have tiny dings or small surface
scratches due to the manufacturing process (clamping for drilling, etc)
or other artifacts such as pencil lines from marking drilling
locations. I do my best to take quality pictures in order to accurately
represent the condition of my items listed. Some select parts, such as
transistors, opamps, or diodes, may vary from the ones used by the
original manufacturer. This is usually due to the scarcity of vintage
semiconductors. I try my best to use equivalent parts whenever originals
are not available and hand test them with either a vintage RCA WT-501A,
B&K 520B, or B&K 530 transistor tester. All of my pedals run on
a standard boss-style 9vDC center-negative external power adapter,
unless otherwise stated. If you have any questions about a specific
item, please don't hesitate to ask. Happy shopping, -Brad B.
