Gretsch Renown 57 5-piece Shell Pack with Snare Drum Features:As a tribute to the booming American automobile industry of the 1950s, Gretsch Renown 57 drum kits are decked out in a selection of gorgeous classic car colors that defined the era. On top of that, they feature an eye-catching, vintage chevron logo that will transport you back to the days of sock hops, soda fountains, and the birth of rock ’n’ roll.
Like all Gretsch Renown series drums, the Renown 57 kit boasts 7-ply maple shells with 30° bearing edges for a warm, balanced tone that is appropriate for a variety of styles and genres. And drummers at Sweetwater enjoy the Renown 57’s Gretsch 302 hoops, which have the characteristic power and resonance of die-cast hoops with the openness of triple-flanged hoops.
In response to the many requests, for only one year we are introducing a new breed in the coveted series: Renown 57 – Silver Oyster Pearl. The basis of the kit's formula mimicks today's Renown 2 series by adapting the 7-ply maple shell, 30 degree bearing edges, 302 hoops, silver sealer interiors, and Low Profile GTS system.
Today's Renown 57 have bass drums with nomounts and traditional 14″ depths, just what Gretsch enthusiasts often ask for. Both configurations are offered in our Silver Oyster Pearl Nitron finish.
