Here's a VERY RARE one for all the Charvel/Jackson collectors familiar with the made in Japan late 80's and early 90's era guitars. These guitars will blow any new production Charvel guitar out of the water. Don't let this one sit too long or someone WILL grab it out from under you!
*This one has an active EMG 81/SA/SA set professionally installed with the 18 volt mod upgrade which makes this guitar sound HUGE! Original Jackson pickups and electronics are included (see pics).
This is an excellent condition, vintage 1988 Charvel Jackson Model 6 (serial number C805842) neckthrough made in Japan guitar in the EXTREMELY RARE, hard to find RAINBOW CRACKLE finish w/OHSC. These guitars were very high quality and rivaled the Jackson USA Soloist models from that era. This really is basically a Jackson Soloist but made in Japan and this guitar is awesome and totally ROCKS! It is every bit as good if not better than any Jackson Soloist guitars from this time frame. The reason Charvel/Jackson discontinued making these guitars is because they were outselling their actual USA Jackson Soloist models. Do the research on these guitars and you will read all the rave reviews on them. But, if you are looking at this listing you probably know all about these guitars and how sought after they are!
This guitar is in overall excellent condition for a 30 year old guitar. The factory Rainbow Crackle finish looks awesome and is a real head turner! There are some very minor marks here and there but considering it's age it is very clean. The head stock point is perfect. The original chainsaw case is also in excellent condition for it's age. All latches are present and functioning as they should. Please review the photos as they are a part of the description and show exactly the condition of the guitar and what you will receive.
These guitars featured a neck through body with bound fingerboard and headstock, 24 jumbo frets (very minimal wear), real pearl Sharktooth inlays, Jackson JT6 double locking tremolo, original Jackson pickups were swapped out for an EMG 81/SA/SA set (original Jackson pickups and electronics are included but I am not sure if it all works). The pickup selection is via 3 mini switches, 1 on/off for each pickup.
This guitar plays and sounds fantastic and has no issues. It is ready to go!
