Tom Clement Phoenix Headless Bass, 6 strings 32” 2019 Natural

Up for sale is a unique and one of a kind 2019 Tom Clement Bass. The bass was completed in October of 2019. Hand built by Tom Clement, build number 467. This is an amazing and unique work of art instrument. 32" scale, 6 string, Phoenix body shape in swamp ash with zircote top and black laminate layer. Neck is maple with bubinga stringers, bloodwood fretboard. 24 standard frets (plus zero fret), though the board was long enough for 26, so there is a strip of bare wood down at the bottom, makes for cool tone tricks. Approx 8.5 lbs

It originally came with Nordstrand Big Single pickups but have been replaced with The pickups are a Bartolini P46CBC set. Headless bridge, set to 16.5 mm spacing (though the hipshot bridge unit is adjustable, the pickups are spaced for 16.5). Further specs are:

This has been dream bass of mine; it has such a unique spec with a shorter scale with no loss of tone of a full-length scaled instrument. Moreover, it's compact vibe and the materials used make it truly one of a kind. Unfortunately it doesn't get played as much these days and it therefore has to go. It has never left my smokefree home studio, so the bass in in immaculate condition.
