The Flagship of D’Angelico’s Solidbody Designs
Built around a comfortably contoured offset body, the D’Angelico Deluxe Bedford boasts vintage-inspired aesthetics and performance that’s tailored toward modern players. Seymour Duncan pickups — one humbucker and one single-coil — work in tandem with an ultra-flexible wiring system to deliver everything from clean jazz to overdriven blues to searing high-gain. Benefit from effortless playability, thanks to a great-feeling C-shaped maple/walnut neck and fast-and-smooth 14"-radius fingerboard. A Wilkinson 6-point tremolo adds expressive vibrato, flutters, and gentle dives to your repertoire. High-end features like Grover locking tuners and a TUSQ nut put the Deluxe Bedford in the upper echelon of electric guitars. The Deluxe Bedford includes an eye-catching F-hole-shaped pickguard, Split Block fingerboard inlays, 4-ply fingerboard binding, gold hardware, and a Skyscraper truss rod cover.

Top-shelf tonewoods yield top-shelf tones
The D’Angelico Deluxe Bedford features an offset basswood body, which is contoured for your playing comfort. As a tonewood, basswood positively growls, yielding a warm tone with prominent mids that cut through a busy musical arrangement. The Deluxe Bedford’s set-through maple/walnut neck not only lends incredible sustain to your playing, but it also adds a bit of snap to your tone. The neck is capped with a pau ferro fingerboard. The guitarists here appreciate pau ferro for its fast, smooth feel and its tight, articulate tone that falls somewhere between the warmth of rosewood and the brightness of ebony. The Deluxe Bedford includes a sweet-looking F-hole-shaped pickguard. Gold hardware completes the look.

Seymour Duncan pickups deliver a wide range of sounds
The D’Angelico Deluxe Bedford comes loaded with a set of custom-designed Seymour Duncan pickups. The DA-59 bridge humbucker exhibits a super-clear tone, a tangible punch, and crystalline, full mids that are guaranteed to elevate your guitar tone. The DA-59 neck single-coil stack produces a classic tone with balanced mids, full bass, and glassy highs. Best of all, it’s hum-free! Run the Deluxe Bedford into a vintage tube amp, and you’ll enjoy pristine, jazz-like cleans. Park it in front of a high-gain amp, and you’ll experience scorching modern grind. Both pickups can be independently coil-split to re-create classic single-coil sounds. The Deluxe Bedford includes a 3-way toggle for easy pickup switching, and each pickup features its own volume and tone knob for maximum tonal versatility.

Comfortable 3-piece neck and fast-and-smooth fingerboard
Playing the D'Angelico Deluxe Bedford is pure joy. Its 3-piece maple/walnut neck boasts a comfortable "C" shape, and its satin finish supplies the perfect blend of grip and ease of movement. Its 14"-radius fingerboard features 22 medium frets. This fast-and-smooth fretboard encourages technically demanding leads while enabling easy chording. The Deluxe Bedford’s 24.75" scale length makes bends and vibrato feel effortless, and its sculpted heel provides easy access to the guitar’s upper frets. What’s more, Grover locking tuners ensure solid tuning stability and make string changes a breeze, while a GraphTech TUSQ nut ensures excellent sustain and minimal string binding. The Deluxe Bedford boasts eye-catching mother-of-pearl/abalone Split Block fingerboard inlays, gorgeous 4-ply fingerboard binding, and a stunning Skyscraper truss rod cover.
