Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...
An awesome extremely RARE 1958 National Model 1125 Carved Maple Arch Top
Electric
Guitar with the Awesome Valco Patent Number Pickup!
Be sure to check out the video demo we did for this awesome guitar!
This guitar is awesome. We had our Tech go completely over this guitar
and set it up with awesome playing low action. No sore fingers with this one..
The carved Maple arched top is beautiful as are the sides and bindings…Some discoloration in places on the light colored maple and some dings on the back of the neck. See pics. Lovely finish crazing on the original nitro finish over all the guitar. Bindings are all tight and the guitar is all original!! A very high
quality guitar for back in the 1950's that wasn't a Gibson or Martin.
This is a 24 ¾ inch scale neck. The
original nut measures 1 5/8th inches. The neck has a nice big C profile that is
a handful. Not a baseball bat but its larger than a 1950’s Gibson. It feels just right…The original frets are in
very good shape. Its in very good shape for a used 1958 guitar!
The guitar is all original. Single line Kluson tuners with Butterful tuner buttons, National raised
logo plate and serial number plate, Pickguard, knobs, Pickup, bridge and
tailpiece. We cleaned the input jack a lot and it works now. We didn’t want to
replace it but it may need to be at some point. The wiring looks original as
well.
The sound of this guitar is fantastic. A very even booming voice that is
quite loud..The Valco Single Coil pickup sings… Very toneful. The Blues Guys
will love this one...This Valco Pickup is very strong.. I love it.
The Soft shell case is in very very good shape. All the latches, hinges
and original handle are present and working properly. Even the accessory box is
here on this one. The plush lining is still in terrific shape. Not original to
this guitar. I have had this early case in my stash and decided this
beautiful guitar deserves this equally awesome case. It fits it great. An
awesome home for your awesome guitar!
Its setup great to play right out of the box with new 11 gauge Strings.
You will love this RARE Guitar! Made in the USA of course..
It is sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been
hand picking vintage guitars for my customers for over 20 years now and they
have all loved the the guitars I found for them..This one will not be an
exception...
