Klira 12 String - 1970’s Made In Germany! - Killer Twelve String! - Buttery Low Action! -

This is a cool one! Super charming 1970's Klira 12 string made in Bavaria, Germany! Has all the 60's jangle and sparkle you could ever want from a European 12 string guitar!

The German family of guitars from the 60's/70's have a cool sparkle and edge to them. Bowie, Hendrix, Mark Knopfler, and a ton of others rocked German made acoustics and electrics in the beginnings of their careers. They all left them and got American made stuff when they got their big money, but if you listen back to their early albums you can hear the unique and unmistakeable jangle of the bolt-on neck European Acoustics. 60s/70's European Bolt-on neck acoustic guitars have a really cool tone that records really well. The huge neck block creates a unique sonic property that only they have. They sound awesome, and they're really easy and way more cost effective to work on as the guitar ages than a glued-in neck guitar! There are many pluses to the bolt-on neck situation. 

As an instrument, this thing is awesome. Beautiful 12 string jangle, awesome tone, low buttery action (mmmm butter), and it obviously looks super cool. That pickguard is so awesome and I love the K with the crown over it. Action is about as low as it gets for a 12 string at 2.5mm on the bass side (!) which is a total dream. This is a really easy playing 12 string if you're a regular 6 string player looking for a good studio 12 string, it'll be a nice and smooth transition into a whole new world. 

It's overall in phenomenal condition for being 50-60 years old! There's a few minor bruises here and there and one of the tuning keys has a bit of skew, but it's overall very clean. The bridge is doing some characteristic lifting that happens with these, but it's literally bolted to the top and it's not going anywhere. It's more of an aesthetic thing, functionally it's rock solid. Great guitar!
