1938 Carson J Robison. Made in Kalamazoo Michigan by the Gibson factory. These were pre war depression era guitars made to keep the production lines going at Gibson during tight times for high end guitars. These were made for Montgomery Wards and sold at a budget price in comparison to their Gibson counterpart. This beautiful sunburst parlor guitar is in pretty good condition considering it's 84 years old. There is no truss rod and has a beefy V neck profile. It's a wonderful guitar for finger style and blues music. This one plays great and sounds amazing. I did a lot of comparing to other guitars and thought this one had a louder and clearer voice. Not all of these guitars have the decorative headstock that this one has and the label is hand painted and still very clear. I'm only selling because this guitar doesn't get the playing time it deserves.
