CALLOO! CALLAY! Let the Farkel-Horns Trumfously Blagoot!
This is a reissue of a popular Well-Hung strap made of genuine Jabberwock hide - with a frabjously intimidating dragony-bird grain on it. Managed to harvest another one of these rare beasties, lazing 'neath the tum-tum tree. It was an epic battle, but I deftly managed to avoid fierce catching claws and biting jaws, and eventually deftly dispatched the monster with my trusty Vorpal sword.
Jabberwock II is a warm honey/saddle brown, with a massive ton of beastly texture! I saw this hide (actually embossed cowhide) it and said to myself, this is the same colour so many guitars are finished in particularly the the back and sides, so it would go great with those in particular, and many natural finishes. This leather also looks great with orangy amber/vintage bursts. so if you want to accent that, Jabberwock II does it perfectly.
Now as you may imagine, having a strap made of the magical hide of a mythical beast, might take a lot of care. Nope. Not this one! But one thing I should mention is a peculiar effect from this particular hide that actually made caught my attention in the leather store. The edges of the scales pattern are a lighter brighter honey colour on top, which pick up light from above different way... it makes this strap have an interesting glow such that I have not seen before. Just a very cool grain pattern and dye treatment. Turn the leather so you are looking up from the bottom, the glow disappears. It's not hugely obvious, just super different and really eye-catching, and makes you look twice.
I made these so they will go long if you are a low slinger - adjusts between 48" approx 58" long and 3" wide. Of course, not really "Jabberwock skin" it is genuine cowhide leather, about 3 oz. thick that has been embossed with this crazy big pebbled grain into it with great texture, and a semi-gloss shine. This is not flippy, flexible strap, it has more body to it... if you've experienced a strap with a little stiffness to it, you know that really helps it sit better, and makes it easy to reposition just by moving your guitar a little bit, and not having to contort a whole bunch.
I rolled the edges for smoothness against your neck, and the pattern on it sexy semi-gloss finish with just that little bit of mythical shimmer when you move in the light. ON the back end, I put a ladder adjustment with heavy leather suede backing, saddle vinyl outside, and a closely-matching tail strap in horsehide reinforced with another layer of cowhide suede, and matching oil-tanned cowhide leather for the nose. Heavy duty strap, will last a long time. I put 1" wide ideal density foam padding in the shoulder, which compresses kind of perfect for ultimate comfort, particularly for long playing sessions, or heavier guitars. Read my feedbacks all about that, and how comfy my straps are compared to others.
I say well-padded, I mean at least two times the padding other so-called "padded" straps have. However, understand my straps do NOT have a "michelin man mono-blumpy" look on your shoulder. They just look great, feel right. Most so-called padded straps you see from big name use way less padding, sometimes really stiff foam that doesn't compress properly. Inside lining is saddle brown lightly ribbed tough fabric that gives this strap a nice grip effect that will resist any guitar necks from diving or wandering and will last a long time. It's also also stain and fire resistant! It's an elegant, yet still kind of badass strap suiting performance in most any genre.
Bottom line: You will not find a 3" wide padded comfort strap with this quality, this padding and coolness anywhere else. Check my reviews, those in my Well-Hung army tell the story better than I. Looking forward to having YOU add your words along with the others so purchase with confidence.
My straps are handmade by me, I am not a factory or a robot, I am a guitar-playing brother, so I fully get it. It's a walmart pie v.s. grandma pie thing. Craft, love and quality ingredients are involved in the making here. This is a long lasting strap you will probably treasure. Not every strap of this line is identical, but very similar. Long, strong, sexy, and different from any other strap you've tried. Customers repeat.
My customer-friends tell the tale better than I can. We look forward to you joining the Cult of the Well-Hung guitar real soon. I'm also inclined to often put extra stuffs in my package, makes a lotta customers extra happy. Please Note if you wish to make me an offer, go right ahead... you might get a slightly better deal but by asking or a deal you automatically decline the cool swagging I famously provide at full price.
Please, when you leave feedback for me, I'll take as many stars as you can give, but PLEASE SAY A FEW WORDS so others get an idea of the Well-Hung out-of-box experience. It's extremely important for my survival against yuuuge multinational conglomerates who probably want to take me out back and beat me up a little bit.
Wise strapoholics visit, like, & follow my Well-Hung Guitar straps Facebook Page and share it with guitarin' friends. You can often see what's coming up before it hits this store and be ready to snipe the extra cool stuff! Plus, see strapmaking vids and other strappenings!
