At HHG we make our own metal shells from scratch. We start with the highest quality carbon steel available, then cut, roll, weld, and drill that steel plate make a drum shell.

Metal snare drums have long been a favorite for drummers- but the musicality, tone, presence, and power of metal snares translates perfectly to a metal kit. The drums are powerful, articulate, and incredibly versatile. If you're looking for a new unique sound, this is it.

This kit also features solid black walnut hoops for some added class. It has classic mini tube lugs, heavy duty telescoping bass drum spurs, convenient T-handle tension rods on the bass drum for easy tuning without a key, heavy 12.7mm floor tom legs, the kit comes stock with Evans heads on all drums (EC2 tom batters, EC tom resos, EMAD 2 bass batter, and a black Evans  bass reso).  The kit feels great to play, and is solid as a rock!

These drums are made from 14 gauge steel (.075") thickness. The bearing edges are a simple thin roundover, polished as smooth as glass. The weight of the drums: 24 lbs for the floor tom, 10 lbs for the rack tom, and 37 lbs for the bass drum.

The finish on the drum isn't so much a finish, as a reflection of the raw material it's made from. We use raw carbon steel plate direct from the mill, and do our best to let the material stay as true to form as possible. The steel is only lightly sanded and sealed with lacquer to prevent rust- other than that it looks as it did when came out of the steel mill. It has a really awesome rustic and authentic aesthetic we can't get enough of.

The sizes of the drums are 13x9, 16x16, 22x18.
