Introducing the 2022 Dax&Co. Ironhorse Deluxe guitar. Years in the making...it's finally here! Forget everything you think you know about tone woods and finishes, this guitar will blow you away with both playability and tone.

What is it exactly? Anyone who follows us knows that Dax has been working on these designs for years and he finally found the magic formula that he was looking for.

The bodies are made of all solid wood. The multi level top is clad with decorative steel plates mounted to the top if the wood. The bridge/pickup plates are positioned over a solid center, which helps control feedback and allows for a string through design. The sides are hollow under the steel with only one "f" sound hole.

Different paints and patina's are applied to the steel for different colors and effects...all under a clearcoat to prevent corrosion.

YOU WILL LOVE THIS NECK! Ask anyone who plays one of Dax's guitars and they will tell you the neck work is second to none! This is no exception. One of the most comfortable necks you will play. It feels like a vintage neck that's been worn in over time. The fretboard edges have been hand rolled, the finish left off of the back of the neck and the grain sealed for ULTRA fast playing and no "drag". The bigger"50's" profile just feels right, a nice handful  without being a baseball bat W/ 6150 Nickel Silver frets (Medium Jumbo)

Each Ironhorse guitar is loaded with Rio Grande pickups, simply the best pickups being produced in the USA today! We've tried all of the top brands but it wasn't until Dax installed the Rio Grande pickups that the magic happened. These pickups, when installed into the steel, produce warm complex tones with harmonic overtones. It’s pure magic and a sound all its own.

The decorative steel plate mounted to the top of the headstock not only looks cool, but eliminates the need for string ferrules since the holes keep the tuner shafts in perfect alignment. The staggered height Gotoh tuners eliminate the need for string trees and put even string tension over the nut and hold prefect tune and pitch.

The guitars are extremely well balanced and weigh only between 6-8.5lbs. on average.

This guitar comes with a deluxe embossed black tolex hardshell case with orange interior, a signed and numbered Dax&Co. COA, and some cool case candy (strap and cord colors may vary from photo)
