Ok, so I decided to list this...
I bought it directly from Scott last year - it was a very special instrument that he was building without a spec'd buyer for a trade show in California that got cancelled due to the pandemic. The guitar is really mint, I gigged with it once, but it's spent most of it's life in it's case. These NEVER come up for sale - as anyone (like me) that chases them knows - I have two other Walker's that I gig with regularly and I decided to not subject this one to the wear of the stage :). Scott stopped accepting orders recently due to the size of his waiting list (4 to 5 years) - the price of a new Santa Cruz is $12.5, but this one has extras like the solid rosewood neck and all special handmade metal accessories. It is totally a beautiful piece of original American Art along with being one of the best guitars made in the world today. This one plays beautifully - as do all of the Walkers I've touched over the years.
There are no marks on the guitar or other signs of play wear - somehow, Scott's signature on the back of the headstock got a little smudged... I assume it was from the case?
Please message with any questions - I've owned and played a lot of Scott's guitars, and can answer most any question on the topic.
The Guitar comes with a brand new Calton case that's never left my house.
Some Specs:
Alder Body
Solid Rosewood neck
Neck .84 - .96, round shape with soft shoulders
Bone nut
1 11/16, 25" scale length
22 frets - 12" radius
Lollar Imperial Humbuckers, Lollar Blackface middle
6 way switching
Coil splits
Buffer/Booster/OBEL
I'm including a video link to the one show I used this instrument for last summer - I played with a bit more gain than usual that night... not exactly sure why, but sure was fun! If you follow those links, there are more songs than what I posted here. Solo on that video is at 3:20ish.
If you go to Scott Walkers Facebook page, you can find a video of the solid Rosewood neck fresh from carving - it's crazy!
