The ‘Legends of Lutherie’ series is a collaboration between SCGC and Rick Turner Guitars, presented by Heartbreaker Guitars in Las Vegas. A limited run of ten pairs are being made, sharing tonewoods and appointments: a custom electric Model 1 by Rick Turner, and a custom non-cutaway FS model by Santa Cruz Guitar Company, both built with Honduran Mahogany back/sides, an old growth Redwood top salvaged from The Hardin Bridge in Yosemite National Park and custom ‘Legends in Lutherie’ commemorative fingerboard inlay with Hoover & Turner signatures by Harvey Leach.
