EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainer Pedal

Speaker-ripping Fuzz and Sustain

The EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas fuzz sustainer pedal puts the explosive guitar textures of Wata (of Boris fame) on your pedalboard. It's based on Wata's favored Elk BM Sustainar pedal, delivering "heavy saturation with a gritty edge and massive bottom while maintaining a clear and dynamic tone." Leveraging volume, sustain (fuzz), and tone controls, Hizumitas serves up a wide tonal range to explore, from dark and gloomy grind to bright, incisive fuzz. Plus, Hizumitas remains clear and articulate even at heavy fuzz settings, and even complex chords retain excellent note separation. Between its generous amount of gain on tap and its wide-ranging tone control, the EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas will satisfy your need for savage fuzz tone.

Ferocious fuzz tone

An experimental rock trio hailing from Japan, Boris are known for their amazingly versatile sound, which combines elements of noise rock, psychedelia, and droning soundscapes. This potent hybrid is driven largely by Wata's tenacious guitar tone. Wata sent her fuzz pedal of choice, the Elk BM Sustainar pedal, to EarthQuaker Devices to re-create it for the masses. Her particular pedal packs a distinct sonic signature, with a present and articulate sound that retains clarity and dynamic response even at high-gain levels. If you've been searching for a searing fuzz pedal with that speaker-tearing character, Sweetwater is sure you'll be impressed with the EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas fuzz pedal.
