The successor of the FZ-2 is somewhat simpler as it doesn’t have any different distortion modes. With familiar Level, Tone and Fuzz controls it is very easy to dial in the sound that you want. A cool fact about this pedal is that it doesn’t contain a single integrated circuit (IC). Boss attempted to get a 60s vibe with the FZ-3 by simplifying the controls and painting the pedal with a finish that reminds of metal that’s been beaten with a hammer.
Somewhere between a Tonebender and a Fuzz Face, this is great for 60's Psychedilia to 90's grunge/Alt.
