David Leach was given this bass personally by Carnie Wilson, Brian's Daughter!
After meeting Brian a couple of times through the years, once at a Wilson Sisters show, and another time enjoying a cold beverage with him, David was thrilled to be working with Brian's Daughter, Carnie Wilson!
The story of this bass goes like this....
On April 6th, 2006 David took Carnie to appear on The Today Show in NYC. They were promoting her new solo record "A Mother's Gift: Lullabies from the Heart". She did an interview that day and also sang a song from the record, "A Mother's Gift".
That day David was telling Carnie how him and her dad had met and seemed to hit it off. Clearly she made note of it because about 6 weeks later she showed up with this bass signed by Brian and gave it to David as a thank you for his help with the record. The bass is signed "to David". It has some nicks here and there but it does play and sound good.
